Hillary will be two weeks tomorrow.
I love that my midwives come to my house, undress, wash, weigh and redress my baby for me, all the while telling me how wonderful and healthy she is and what a great job I’m doing caring for her. Every mama needs a little moral support like that! How I will miss it when the 6 weeks of postnatal visits are over!
The little Miss weighed in at 9lbs. this morning and is doing so great. She nurses like a champ. Sleeps pretty darn good, too.
Doesn’t like to be put down for. a. minute. during the first half of each day though, which means mornings are nothing short of total chaos for me. Everyone wakes up early now that the sun rises so early, and they like their breakfast. NOW. And they like me to get it for them. I’m going to start enlisting Kale to breakfast duty. Time to start setting out the cereal bowls at night I think…
Despite all craziness I was extremely impressed with myself this morning that I got everyone’s teeth brushed before 10 am. And we actually made it to the park and back this afternoon. And I remembered to put one of my homemade frozen meals in the oven early enough to actually be edible by dinnertime. And we had fresh salad. That I grew. Okay, the kids didn’t eat it, but still….
I rock.
